7660 SW Barbur Blvd in Portland. We are close to the Fred Meyer Burlingame, if that helps!
For boarding, we do use our daycare rooms for some overnights. This works very well for “families”. We also utilize kennels of varying sizes. Please let us know if your dog is familiar and comfortable with sleeping in a kennel. We are very careful to make sure that your dog is safe while in our care. So, we make the call on who sleeps where, depending on who our guests are on any given night.
What if my dog doesn’t get along with other dogs? We assess each dog before we accept them into our facility. We screen for how they do with people, and other dogs of various sizes. We also screen for toy and food aggression. However, we do have a dog behave improperly from time to time. When that happens, we separate them from the pack. This is not negotiable. We do this for the safety of all the dogs in the pack, as well as the safety of our staff.
Could be many reasons. Your dog may be outside, in a different room or simply taking a nap out of camera view. Sometimes, while it is rare, we do have to give dogs time out.
Just like kids, they can get a little wound up. A short time out (usually less than 15 minutes) to calm down and reset, may be necessary.
We do not charge extra for administering pills and chews. We do reserve the right to do so, if administering medication is problematic, time consuming, or requires special skills.
There are many vets around us. We have a few right up the street.
Dogs who are still intact can create a few challenges. They hump and pee rather proficiently! In addition, an intact male can create aggression in the pack. We choose not to invite this type of dynamic. We will accept intact males under 6 months. After 6 months, we are unlikely to continue to accept you dog until he is neutered.
We will gladly accept Cash, Checks, Debit or Credit Cards*
*Visa, Mastercard and Discover are preferred. Although we are able to process American Express, they do subject us to higher processing fees.
We sure do! We have a fenced in outdoor area. The dogs are directed there several times each day.
We do! Your dogs safety is our primary concern. We have a separate room for smaller dogs.
We do shy away from this. Big dogs and small dogs are often just fine together. However, a big dog can hurt a small dog without trying. So, we do try to keep them separate.
We are open 7am to 7pm Monday through Friday. Saturdays we are open at 9am to 4pm. On Sundays and holidays, we have 2 pick up windows for boarding dogs. One from 9am to 10am and a second opportunity from 3pm to 4pm. Sundays and holidays are by appointment ONLY! We like to spend a little time with our family! So, on Sunday, if we don’t know you are picking up your dog, we may not be there. We like to go out for breakfast! Oh, but rest assured, even on Sunday, your dogs get all the attention, feeding, and exercise they need!
We do a full assessment on each new dog. We introduce them to a few we know (like our very own Buster!) to see how they handle things. We make sure they are not food or toy aggressive, too. Then, when we are comfortable they will be OK with the pack, we introduce them under close supervision until they feel at home.
Nope. We have our daycare rooms we use, too. However, this is our call. We make the decision based on who we have for overnight guests. Sleeping arrangements are all about comfort and safety of everyone involved.
Yep. We have a refrigerator and freezer. No problem!
Because you will leave us detailed instructions! Aren't you fabulous?
We will gladly pickup your dog for delivery to daycare or overnight boarding. Please call in advance to schedule this service. You must be a current client and live within 5 miles of our daycare. Typical cost is $7 each way, though additional fees may apply.
If you are unable to pick up your dog by closing time, please call ahead so we know when to expect you. An after-hours surcharge may apply.
By appointment only. Please be sure to call ahead so we can schedule a staff member to arrive early for a small surcharge.
We do like to do that. Dogs are just so cute. The whole internet was CREATED just for cute dog and cat photos. The rest is extra.
Sure can! We do require puppies to be at least 4 months old. You should have had your dog, no matter what the age, for at least 2 weeks prior to leaving her at daycare.
For the most part no. However, we do up to 6 months old.
Dogs are separated for feeding, unless you tell us your dogs like to eat together. We generally feed in the morning and in the evening. Both are followed by a trip outdoors.
Some do, some don’t. We like to make sure your dog is happy and tired when you get her back. However, some dogs just don’t play with toys well with others. So, for those slightly more toy aggressive dogs, no toys. Safety is the still our top priority!
It is not necessary. We have plenty of dishes, beds, etc. If there is something your dog will feel better with at night, we are happy for you to bring it along. Please do drop off your dog with a leash, it makes it so much easier for us to bring them back to you! We supply bedding at night to make sure your pet is comfortable. We prefer no bedding from home as we cannot guarantee that it will stay clean.
We clean and disinfect daily with a hospital grade disinfectant that is formulated for dogs. We clean up any accidents immediately with a spot cleaner. Food bowls, water bowls, and toys are sanitized daily.
Sometimes we need to be made aware of our technical issues. Let us know and we will look into it promptly.
